Dyed wool by Cindy Rogers and knit hat directions by Betty Hovland Alum was used as a mordant by soaking the wool for several days before dying. It was dyed with iron oxide brining the water to simmer slowly and then cooled overnight. Minimum bid $10 Current bid is at $35.00 |

Katherine Dunlevey – Scarf The scarf was random hand dyed. Wool fibers were then laid out on a rectangular piece of silk and felted using a technique known as nuno felting. The rectangle was then cut apart to create a scarf/flounce. The fabric was over-painted with the iron oxide carried in a fabric medium. Gold accent was added. Wendy Fetterman – basket Wendy wove the basket first, loosely basing the shape on an old vase. She then mixed up a paint using tempera powder, the iron oxide and exterior/interior gloss varnish. She used a leaf from my oak trees to make a template. The leaves were painted on and outlined with dark brown acrylic paint. Then she spackled the basket with both the iron oxide and the dark brown acrylic. Once they were dry she sprayed the basket with a high gloss sealer. Wendy has been painting for over 24 years and weaving baskets for over 20 years. Minimum bid $15 Current bid is at $38.00 |
