The Evergreen Conservancy was recently awarded the Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence for its environmental stewardship. The award was received for the installation of the Trompe at the Tanoma Wetlands to help our passive treatment system more efficiently clean water entering Crooked Creek. The award was given by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. We are incredibly honored! The award will be given out at a banquet in Harrisburg on April 25th.
These awards highlight the best in environmental innovation and expertise throughout the Commonwealth. Each year the Governor’s Awards for Environmental Excellence provide statewide recognition to businesses and organizations involved in a cross-section of environmental initiatives from cleaning up watersheds, saving energy, eliminating pollution, reducing waste and more.
